PAST EVENTS

Just put your name and email on the back of your trivia card to get credit for attending

Electrons are antisocial. They like to be left alone and don’t like to share space, but, once they come out of their shells, they can make beautiful crystals like those used in solar cells, lasers, and telescopes. Join us as graduate student Ashley Weiland discusses her work to understand how crystals grow and explains why it is so important to technology that they do.

Please note the date - this will be held on the third Wednesday of the month (January 15) instead of our usual second.
